Building Resilience for a Better Home is a free LinkLiving service for Link Housing, Larkfield Housing, and Horizon Housing Association tenants who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues alongside financial struggles. Sessions are available via phone or video call.
Building Resilience for a Better Home works alongside the Link’s Money & Wellbeing Project and offers sessions to tenants who are experiencing mental health issues due to financial difficulties.
Building Resilience for a Better Home offers free self-help coaching sessions to eligible tenants who are experiencing mental health issues, including anxiety, stress, low mood, depression, and sleep difficulties. Tenants accessing the service can receive up to nine online sessions with LinkLiving self-help coaches.
The purpose of the sessions is to provide tenants with self-help techniques they can use to manage their mental health, and therefore be in a position where they can better manage their lives, engage with their communities, and keep their homes.
Using a tailored approach, the self-help coaches will introduce tenants to a range of resources, techniques, and tools to better manage their mental health, and can help them identify personal outcomes to work towards. We will also encourage tenants to connect with other services and sources of support in their community and can signpost to suitable services.
Building Resilience for a Better Home is funded by the Link Group and the Scottish Legal Aid Board.
Our Building Resilience for a Better Home works with tenants aged 16 and above who can be referred by their housing officer, or Debt Advisor through the Money and Wellbeing project.
Sessions will be delivered online by Microsoft Teams, or by phone call.
